Course Syllabus

Welcome to the 2019 3-day Canvas Boot Camp.

Over the course of the next three days, we will explore the three different aspects of Canvas that a teacher needs to know.  Below is the schedule we will attempt to adhere to.  

Social Norms that I would like us to observe:

  • If you need to step out of the room (bathroom, phone call, etc.), please feel free to do so.  We are all adults.
  • If you need me/us to slow down or go back over something, please let me know at that time.  I have been known to go fast on occasion or use doctoral level jargon without thinking.
  • If you have a question, please ask it.  Chances are that everyone is thinking the same thing.
  • At the end of each day, please go to the discussion posting and post a reflection for the day.  Is there something that I glanced over, that needs more info, details, or simpler language? Is there something that you are struggling with? Is there an area that you think is too slow?

 

DAY 1 Morning

GOAL: Set up a Structure for a Master Course that we create.

DAY 2 Morning

GOAL: Fill our Master Course with information and both Formative and Summative Assessments.

  • Summative
  • Work on personal Master Course
  • Dismiss around 3:00

GOAL: Wrap up our Master Course and embellish it with extras.
